GOSO 2024 OVO Honoree: Anelle MillerGOSO is proud to honor Anelle Miller at this year’s Our Voices Ourselves networking breakfast. Anelle has made a significant impact on the lives of GOSO participants through her art therapy program, where she provides weekly workshops that foster creativity and healing. In 2017, she launched the Art Academy on Rikers Island, offering high-quality art programming to both youth and adults. Anelle’s collaboration with GOSO exemplifies her commitment to using art as a powerful tool for personal growth and social change.

Anelle began her illustrious career with The Estée Lauder Companies in 1978, where she played a key role in launching and building the Origins brand into one of the corporation’s most successful divisions. Her experience spans leadership roles in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, including serving on the boards of Friends of Materials for the Arts and Friends of the High School of Art & Design, among others.

As an entrepreneur, Anelle founded Bean Bag, a successful healthy food business, and later co-founded Original Women, a company celebrating the artistry of women worldwide. Her dedication to the arts continued as the Executive Director of the Society of Illustrators and the Museum of Illustration in New York City, where she served for 16 years before retiring in 2023.
