Kudos to Chelsea Kraimer, who is among the young professionals recently honored by City and State NY as a 2021 Nonprofit 40 Under 40 Rising Star! Chelsea is the Director of Reentry Services and Senior Participant Success Manager at Getting Out and Staying Out, Inc. – GOSO. Chelsea told City and State that in that internship, she worked with 16- and 17-year-old male-identifying individuals being held at Riker’s Island, who were either recently sentenced or on their way to being discharged.
“As an intern,” City and State wrote about Chelsea, “she noticed a gap in the organization’s services. Because Getting Out and Staying Out’s programs closed at 5 p.m., it was difficult for high school students to attend. After graduating, Kraimer joined the organization to build out an adolescent program in order to fill this gap.” Learn more about Chelsea and all of this year’s Nonprofit Rising Stars at https://lnkd.in/gFC7vHQ.
