Last week, GOSO clients and staff were joined by volunteers from Goldman Sachs’ Community TeamWorks for an incredible team building outing at Hoodwinked Escape‘s “Escape the Room” experience in Harlem.
Working through rooms with themes like “Spy Academy” and “The Experiment,” our guys had to work together under pressure to decipher clues and crack codes in order to unlock the door to get out (a simple yet challenging premise!). In the past our guys have loved similar high-intensity and intellectually engrossing activities because they get the adrenaline up while helping them to hone critical thinking skills, improve team building and assess their ability in adopting leadership roles.
This was the last event in our summer-long “GOSOCorp Volunteer” series, during which we got to work with and get know young professionals from many fantastic partners, including: Deloitte, Debevoise & Plimpton, S&P Global, LinkedIn, Google, and now, Goldman Sachs. We host these great employers in the GOSO offices but also make a point of visiting them where they live so that our clients can experience a variety of workplace cultures.
Thanks to all those who took the time. It’s been an amazing summer of discovery, and we look forward to more great volunteer opportunities next summer!
