Yesterday, GOSO was joined by City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice in launching new anti-gun violence initiative Stand Against Violence East Harlem (S.A.V.E.), which uses as a template the Cure Violence approach to empower at-risk youth within the community to effect change.
